Gealscoil Bharra

Following years of campaigning the realisation of a purpose built school for Gealscoil Bharra in Cabra has moved one giant step further this summer with the submission of an application for planning permission for an 8 classroom, three storey school on the Fassaugh Avenue site.

As a City Councillor I have consistently supported the campaign for a purpose built school and was happy to support the provision of the site, free of charge, from Dublin City Council to the Department of Education for the benefit of the School. As well as a modern school building, St Finbars GAA will also get a new all weather pitch, flood lighting, overhead and side netting and a hurling wall. Residents on Quarry Road will benefit from a new boundary wall. You can review the full application here. Mary
